1961 - 3M starts manufacturing facility in Nekoosa

With carbonless paper as the starting point, 3M built a manufacturing facility in Nekoosa, Wisconsin.

1980 - RTape enters the graphics market

Since its inception, RTape has been a leading manufacturer of application tapes and specialty tapes, setting the standard in the industry.

1993 - Start of EMEA partnership with Fourbases.

RTape strengthens its global presence by establishing a European hub through its strategic partnership with Fourbases in Belgium.

2002 – RTape acquires CET Films

RTape expands its manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of CET Films, renowned for producing VinylEfx®.

2005 – Incorporation of Nekoosa Coated Products™

Nekoosa Coated Products, leading manufacturer of carbonless papers, is separated from the former 3M business in Wisconsin.

2013 – Nekoosa acquires RTape and CET Films

Nekoosa diversifies its product offering and enters the sign and graphics market with the acquisition of RTape and CET Films.

2015 – Nekoosa acquires Main Tape

With the acquisition of Main Tape, Nekoosa adds the PerfecTear™ application tape brand to its portfolio. In 2016, Nekoosa sells Main Tape’s Surface Protection division to Novacel.

2016 onwards – Growth through acquisitions and strategic partnerships

Nekoosa continues to expand its footprint with the acquisitions of ClingZ®, Catalina Graphic Films and NCR Paper.

Following a partnership deal with Sentinel Capital Partners in 2017, Nekoosa secures a new partnership with private equity firm Wynnchurch Capital in 2021.
